The Improving the Quality of Education in Rural Areas of Angola Project is promoting literacy classes for young people and adults in the provinces of Cuanza Norte, Malanje and Uíge.

The activities aim to strengthen basic reading, writing and numeracy skills, contributing to greater educational inclusion in rural communities. Currently, 4,515 young people and adults are attending Module 2 of the Gostar de Ler e Escrevermethod, with particular focus on parents and caregivers of children enrolled in the TUPPI programme, one of the project’s key components.

The training has encouraged greater family involvement in education, enabling parents and caregivers to more closely support children’s learning and develop increased autonomy.
