As part of World AIDS Day, marked on 1 December, ADPP Angola promoted and took part in several awareness-raising activities across different provinces of the country, involving communities, public institutions, and health partners.

In Luanda, the READY+ Project participated in the march marking the date and took part in the Health Fair in the municipality of Viana. The project’s exhibition was visited by the Secretary of State for the Hospital Area, Dr. Leonardo Europeu Inocêncio, as well as the Municipal Director of Health of Viana, Dr. Rosa Maria de Andrade Diogo Manuel, and the provincial HIV focal point, Dr. Henriqueta Kwanza Paim. During the visit, actions related to prevention, counselling, and community support were presented.

In Malanje, in the municipality of Massango, an awareness march was held under the Gender Component of the Project for Improving the Quality of Education in Rural Areas, with the participation of local authorities, teachers, and students, reinforcing messages on prevention, early diagnosis, and the fight against stigma.

In Bié, the municipality of Cuemba marked the date with community mobilisation activities. At the same time, the Community HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis Prevention Project (GC7) carried out awareness sessions targeting members of the Angolan Armed Forces in the provinces of Bié and Benguela.

In Cuanza Sul, the municipalities of Conda, Sumbe, and Porto Amboim promoted marches and awareness-raising activities, involving community agents…
