Info

The project aims to increase economic opportunities for rural women in Angola, empowering them to fully participate in the economy as active citizens. It focuses on smallholder women farmers in rural areas who often face economic and cultural barriers. The project provides tools and training to improve access to employment, education, loans, and property. Activities include organisation and training in conservation farming via Farmers’ Clubs, and leadership through Farmers' Clubs Committees, and entrepreneurship. It incorporates Modules 1-3 of the Ministry of Education's Accelerated Learning Program, with supplementary literacy modules for farmers.

Participatory land delimitation sessions with a gender focus is conducted with traditional authorities and communities. The project facilitates ID card registration, and access to bank accounts. Women’s advocates are trained to disseminate key messages, supported by community radio broadcasts addressing gender issues in local languages.
