The students are gaining classroom experience at Primary schools No. 111-Angola-Cuba, No. 10- Missão Católica, No. 112 Txigilegi, No. 113 Nakathenga, No. 114 Mwana Pô and No. 115 Anatchipema. In addition to assisting the class teacher and giving lessons themselves, the students visit the pupils’ parents to encourage them to support their children’s education. Team 2017 is currently studying Portuguese, math and natural sciences in order to help the pupils. Campaigns form part of the 2nd Year program, and two outstanding activities are cleaning actions at the municipal hospital, maternity hospital of the Catholic Mission and the municipal market, and gender clubs. Both activities are having a very positive impact of the beneficiaries.

Extracurricular activities organized by Team 2017 include open days, pedagogical sessions, excursions and show time.

This element of the program is having a clear impact on primary pupils in the neighborhood of TTC Lunda Sul. The pupils appear more motivated to learn thanks to the proximity achieved by the trainees and the games they devise. Math lessons become more fun with number games, Portuguese in clubs is easier to learn and excursions in nature make natural science come to life.
