Girls’ empowerment project in five provinces

 

In 2016, ADPP is implementing a girls’ empowerment project in five provinces- Bengo, Huambo, Bie, Uige and Benguela. The specific project aims to increase the number of girls in primary school in 45 targeted communities in 5 provinces.500 trainee teachers from the Schools for the Teachers of the Future have been trained on a whole range of issues which impact on girls’ attendance in school: traditional attitudes that girls don’t need an education; sexual and reproductive health; hygiene and more.
