Inauguration of EPF Bié

The School for the Teachers of the Future in Bié was officially inaugurated in August 2008

 

The School for the Teachers of the Future in Bié was officially inaugurated on the 14th of  August 2008. His Excellency, Minister of Education, Dr. António Burity da Silva Neto, cut the red tape. The official plaque was unveiled by his Excellency, the Governor Bié province, José Amaro Tati , along with the president of ADPP, Rikke Viholm. As is the custom at the Schools for the Teachers of the Future, the students gave a performance of a small piece of theatre and sang several songs for the guests.  

 

    

EPF Bié is the result of a partnership between ADPP, the Ministry of Education of Angola, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Angola, Sonangol and its partners in blocks 15 and 18, and the Norwegian company Statoil-Hydro. The buildings were constructed by the Chinese company, Golden Nest, from the first quarter of 2006 until July 2007. The first 88 students started their training in EPF Bié in August 2006 and in the following year 90 and 87 more students enrolled.
